I help women in STEM go from feeling stuck to finding freedom
What I will help you do:
clarify your personal values, and goals
assess your current state
identify what to improve to achieve your goals
set your priorities, and protect your time
understand and overcome your limiting beliefs
take steps towards achieving your goals
troubleshoot and course correct along the way
I do this with a methodology I’ve developed and love to use, that is based on the foundations of Lean Six Sigma and High Self Worth.
What are these, you ask? Well, in general, this is the gist:
Lean Six Sigma:
Lean = minimizing the ‘waste’ in everything you do. Six Sigma = minimizing the variability in everything you do.
In other words, working towards ‘operational excellence’ - this is a concept many businesses use to optimize and continuously improve.
High Self Worth: internal confidence that you are worthy of kindness and respect from yourself and from others.
This seems obvious, but there are so many ways we lower our self worth - without even realizing it! This leads to the many subconscious internal beliefs that limit us, have discordance with our personal values, hijack our available time, and keep us feeling stuck.
I’ve worked as an engineer over 25 years in the pharma/biotech and tech industries holding varying roles in addition to being a Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt.
I’ve also coached executives, entrepreneurs, mid level professionals, and front line employees for over 15 years. Regardless of the position, I’ve seen very similar trends in issues that people are dealing with. A lot of these can be addressed with different combinations of tools that I can teach you, that fall under both of the above categories.
I love coaching women, and I love coaching women in STEM. Why?
Because women and girls are still underrepresented in some STEM roles. If you’re an engineer like myself, a scientist, a physician, or a software professional - you know the unique landscape of working in a field where roles are typically held by men. And even if that’s not the case, a STEM career is inherently demanding, challenging…yet can be very rewarding. There are nuances you’ve experienced that ultimately contribute to how you’re feeling in your career- and how you’re feeling at work ultimately has an impact in other areas of your life.
I feel that it would be amazing for women to feel satisfied in their STEM careers, while still being able to prioritize themselves, their loved ones, and their personal interests.
If you’d like help in achieving the space and time you need to choose the impact you have in the world - I’d love to help you.
Hi! I’m Deepa.
I have over 25yr of experience working in biotech/pharma and tech, and I love helping women in these fields develop strategies to stop feeling stuck in their careers and life, to finding freedom.
Freedom to do what, you ask?
For me - Family, Friends, Health, Travel, STEM, Lean Six Sigma, Coaching. These are some of the things that energize me, and I want to always be free to prioritize them.
I’d like to help you do the same with the things that energize you.
Women in STEM start off their careers feeling excited to make important contributions to society. Working in a STEM field is awe-inspiring, rewarding….yet challenging. Eventually - they may face burnout, and extreme work-life imbalance often caused by the demanding nature of their jobs.
Women especially have the tendency to put everyone else before themselves, and further intensifies the above, leaving them feeling ‘stuck’.
The women who reach out to me do not ONLY want to achieve success in their careers. They want to shift to living authentically in all areas of their life, and feel free to optimize their impact in the world.
If this sounds like you - I’d love to help you!
Love from my Clients….!

“I felt lost and exhausted from work and juggling a hectic home life. I was frustrated that I wasn’t making the movements I wanted for work or in my personal relationships until I started working with Deepa. Her coaching helped me re-center and prioritize the elements of my life that matter, which was crucial for me to make my next career move. My coaching experience with her helped me rediscover my passions, and with that I found happiness and better balance in my career and home life.

“Coaching with Deepa was so much fun, I was able to come up with some crazy ideas I’d never even thought of when we brainstormed how I’d be able to help the kids in my community learn how to cook. I’d always wanted to do this, but could never figure out how to organize my time. Coaching helped me do that, and also get more creative with my ideas”

"Deepa is an amazing coach, she takes the time to listen and she meets you where you are. Deepa provided me with the tools I needed to make life changes and she helped me with my confidence. I would most certainly recommend Deepa as a life coach, wellness coach, career coach and beyond."

“Hi Deepa! I’m now working remotely back in Ireland and being close to my family now. I’m still working with the surfers in India, have been sending them surfboards for them to practice with. And I’m going to be travelling back to India, and perhaps Maldives and Bali as well in October. The main thing you helped me with is changing perspective - when I was feeling like I was in the middle of a lot of things, you helped me have that helicopter view, stepping up and looking almost 20yr ahead and looking at the seeds that I’m sowing now for this community. And also bringing out in me the need for my roots in Ireland. It’s amazing what I have now - I’m working with an Irish company, but they don’t care if I’m working in India, or Spain, or whatever, which is amazing! So it takes away that dilemma of having to be in one place or another. Three of the surfer kids I’ve been mentoring have now gotten scholarships to University as well - which goes back to building the future leaders of Mahabs. To have a University education is going to be great for them!”

“Thank you so much for helping me clarify what was really important to me. I’ve always wanted to show my kids different parts of the world, and I felt myself slipping into an existence of ‘all work, no play’. What little time we had for vacations we were too tired to do anything. You helped me take inventory of my time - and now - not only are we prioritizing both domestic and international travel, but I’ve also been able to look at my career and re-evaluate my goals - I’m now in a totally career track - and it still challenges me to use my skills in biotech manufacturing, but on a whole new level. And this has had an indirect effect on my husband too - he is now considering a career change so he can work from anywhere - which greately will help us coordinate our trips! Thank you so much for helping me get unstuck - I truly appreciate your help!!” - AML (San Diego, CA)
“Before I started my coaching sessions with Deepa, I was always comparing myself to my twin sister! We had led virtually similar lives, but as adults I felt she was way more successful than me and it was starting to affect my career, my relationship with her, and my overall wellbeing. It was great to be able to get past a lot of beliefs I had been holding for so long and have someone keep me accountable. I’m now super satisfied in my professional life, no longer feel like I need to compare or compete with my twin, and it’s been great to just focus on the important stuff with her. I’m pretty glad Deepa challenged me in some pretty unique ways to get me to this place. Thanks so much Deepa!”

I worked with Deepa because I was constantly finding that I was working crazy hours at work - even though I wasn’t getting paid to do this. This was hurting my ability to find the time to go back to school for an advanced degree. I couldn’t figure out how to prioritize anything, because everything seemed important. I found Deepa through LinkedIn, and decided to reach out to her. I really appreciated her approach - she is process oriented, and coached in a way that made sense to me. We used tools to prioritize and assess my time - I realized I had MORE than a few hours each week to dedicate to graduate level classes - and i’m happy to say I’m looking towards completing my degree in 2025. Not only that, but I know when to take a breather, spend time with friends. Yes, I’m an engineer - and this stuff isn’t rocket science, but honestly - it’s so easy to get caught up. Thanks so much!
